Reviews and Ratings
Our stay at the resort was a mixed bag. On one hand, the resort was tidy and comfortable but didn’t quite meet my expectations of a 4-star boutique. The volcano tour was underwhelming, as we endured a bumpy ride in a 'cage' on the way there. However, the restaurant offered good complimentary breakfast options and decent meals.
Our stay at this resort was an overall pleasant experience, especially for a winter getaway. The bungalows were clean and spacious, providing a lovely atmosphere to relax while listening to the ocean at night. However, the dining service was inconsistent and some menu items fell short of expectations. The location near the volcano is fantastic for adventure seekers, but the lack of basic amenities like a TV can be a downside for some guests.
I had a decent stay overall, but the volcano tour really fell short of expectations. The resort itself was tidy and comfortable, but calling it a 4-star boutique might be a stretch. The food choices at the restaurant were somewhat limited, though the breakfast was nice. However, I was disappointed when we didn’t get food on the first day. The volcano experience itself was amazing, but the ride there was quite unpleasant due to the conditions.
During my stay at the resort, I was impressed by the lovely gardens and the picturesque pool, making it a beautiful spot to unwind. The open-air bungalows were basic but clean, and I enjoyed the snorkelling right off the jetty, although the jetty itself felt a bit precarious. However, I also faced some issues with additional bank fees at checkout, which felt a bit unfair considering the prepaid amount. Overall, it was a nice experience, but there are areas that need improvement.
We had an incredible stay at White Grass Resort! The location near the stunning volcano and blue holes was a highlight, and the bungalows provided a comfortable night's sleep while listening to the ocean. The service from Wayne and his team was mostly excellent, though the dining experience had its ups and downs. Overall, it's a unique place to explore Tanna, though it could use some improvements in the dining and transportation areas.
